I have always loved equipment that people scoff at or don't take seriously...instruments like the stylophone, kids instruments or small casio synths. One such “instrument” is the Miku stomp pedal which turns your guitar into a japanese animated artist...Everybody seemed to view the pedal as a sort of gimmicky joke…A sort of ”what are you supposed to do with this?” pedal... On Las Rascales I'm using the Miku stomp to play the melody...The idea was to see if it could hold up playing the “lead”... On today's least listened to track Las Rascales I'm exploring a couple of different ideas (including the MIku stomp). When I mix tracks I occasionally finish the whole thing and then I start manipulating the entire mix…. On Las Rascales I'm moving the entire mix from a reverby distance closer and closer making it dryer throughout the entirety of the track like a long arch.... I have also recorded the mix onto a microcassette and manipulating the entire track by playing it fast forward rewinding and just messing with the microcassette….

And why is it for J.Roberto? Well...I posted an early version of the track online and wrote that this might show up on the next Molesome album and my old friend Jon wrote...I hope not in the comments section….so being a kid at heart it HAD to end up on the album…!
